Do you have to remove the dipstick on a longtube install?

Do you have to remove the dipstick on a longtube install?

I just got done reading a header install and the guy says that you need to buy another dipstick b/c you have to remove yours is this true? Also can somebody straighten me out on the whole air and egr mess? What do i need to elimate these when i do my lt install? If you have website inwhich i can buy restrictor plates or anything that i need please give them to me thanks

you'll have to remove the dipstick and tube--no reason to buy a new on though. you'll also need block off plates for the air tubes if your headers have them and a block off plate for the egr on the manifold.
