Guys, what was the question? To answer the ?, ported (done well) LT1 heads will blow past oem LT4 heads. Stickin' my neck out, cuz don't know what you refer to as 'stage 2'.

Yea really

It depends what is considered "Stage II Heads"

Flow numbers??

Tru, any LT1 heads with some port work will generally outflow LT4 heads stock. There isn't a great deal of difference between the flow numbers of the LT1 heads and the LT4 heads. One of the main benefits of LT4 heads is that they are aluminum instead of Iron.

like the others said, It all depends on what stage II means. I would say most peoples stage II's would win over LT4's.

So if the stage II's flow more than the LT4's that makes them better? All depends, you can always upgrade the LT4's later and get them ported. Those things will really flow 290-310cfm where a LT1 will be lucky to get to a real 270cfm. Depends upon where you are coming from.

Why would you say they are better because they're aluminum....Any f-body LT1 heads are aluminum just not the b-bodies(impala,roadmaster etc..) Maybe the 93s were cast but I know 95-97 all have aluminum heads if its an F-body or vette

It's a made up term, because customers just dont know any better & like to talk about things they don't understand... like flow #'s etc
