I think I would just stick with VFN or Harwood.

My FFI Z-Roc hood is top notch. Only problem I had was with fitment, you get that with any hood though.

I would like Harwood, but do they make an o.e.m. style SS hood for our cars? I know they do for the LS1, but I don't think they do for ours. Or do they?

I scouted around for a new hood a couple months ago. Best place to start is by calling up bodyshops. They can tell you what's best to look for. From a couple shop people. I heard about "Certain oils in the Fiberglass being released and causing bubbling durring paint baking" From every place I went to they had the least problems with Harwood.

Brought a Harwood hood...but even that has a few defects and needs some smoothing and puttying.

I think it was American Sports car design...and Harwood were pretty good.

I've got an FFI SS hood on my car, didn't have any problems with it.

Although I wouldn't want to deal with a company that gives as much hassle as youre receiving.

Well I placed an order and got my hood 4 weeks and two hoods later.

ORder: Early friday week 0. Call next thursday. No hood yet. They say they only ship fridays. Okay, so they didnt ship when i ordered. Whatever. goes out tomorrow. Should be fine. NExt tuesday, we get a call. "We broke your hood, have to make a new one." FARKING GREAT GUYS. They break my hood, and dont even bother to call me when they break it. Screws over my car on the body shop's schedule completely. Just GREAT. Next friday (week 3) they ended up sending the hood and it got here tuesday intact. Got the airbox too. Quality is **** poor, looks like it was lazily cut (very very hack, definetly hand done) edges are nonexistant. Wavy cuts. Fit isnt great. But the hood is fine. Edges between the top and bottom parts need to be seam sealed on the bottom side of the hood, but the upper and underside of the hood are fine. Took too damn long to get, and I got stupid BS excuses from suncoast. I'd never recommend them to anyone.

I've been watching these FFI hoods on ebay for a few weeks thinking it was to good to be true.
My only thing is if they are that bad why don't they have more negative feedback on ebay. The only real complait people seem to have is slow shipping, two or three people say they didn't like the fix, and no one that I saw said the quailty was poor.

Just got my Harwood from Classic Industries yesterday. Came in good packing and was in good shape. Paid a little more for it but I'm happy.
