Do I need a tune?

Alright, 388 stroker, stock injectors but before I was running all stock fuel system and car ran fine. I put a stock coil because the MSD went out. Then I added 255LPH WALBRO FUEL PUMP and now my car seems to act like its either missing or its running too rich. Changing the fuel pump, will this make it run rich even without a tune? The car is untuned but had the injectors bumped up to 26# and now the car not sure whats going on. New opti and wires too.

Think putting the High Performance fuel pump is putting out more PSI or something and running too rich????????

Frankly from what you and your mod list say I am amazed it ran for any length of time.

You need a tune immediately and to stop doing mods without research, you are fraskly lucky you have not blown it up yet.

A tune is very necessary from reading your mods.

You sure do need a tune. I wouldn't even start that car to move it with that kind of fuel going to it on a stock tune!!

You guys wanna hear a funny story about driving around with no tune?

I've got a friend with a saturn(some kind of coupe), stock injectors from a 99 ls1, turbo charged with 8 lbs, a misfire on cylinder number one, with stock tune, oxygen sensor is broken, he drives it every day and beats the ever living crap out of it everyday, the engine is fine(the tranny and the accesories aren't to fond of the new power however), oh did I mention the engine has 160k on it?

The higher flowing fuel pump shouldn't be the cause of you running rich, the bigger, untuned injectors could very well be though. I would get it tuned ASAP.

Sorry from the mod list but I dont have the 50# INJECTORS installed, waiting til I get a tune. STOCK injectors with them boosted to 26 instead of 24. I guess they made them stay open longer. It was running fine before. It isnt fully untuned, was tuned for a 360 with Cam and valve trane work only. Deleted all the **** in the ECM for emissions etc.

I know I need a tune bad and I DO MY RESEARCH but I just never come across the money to tune but that will be changing. I have more mods, just didnt have enough room on signature to list them.

I am buying adjustable fuel regulator and 42# injectors. 50# injectors being sold. Then I plan on a tune, Im not dumb enough to put 42 lb injectors on the car without a tune because it will flood majorly, from what im reading the fuel pump should hurt the car with stock injectors.

NVM just looked at the damn car, somehow, dont know how, the #8 plug wire isnt even on the car, somehow it came off, this explains the sluggishness. Thanks

And of course I need a tune.
