Do I need new damper/ balancer?

Hey pals, I'm just about to get my 96 out and driving. One thing that's got me worried is the damper up front seems to be wobbling pretty good. More than it used to. Do these things go out? If I get a new OEM will it solve the problem most likely? Please let me know what ya think, I have to get this thing runnin good.

There was a recent post about this where the outer ring separated from the inner ring. They are connected by a rubber inner ring. If the pulley is ever pulled off improperly, hit with a hammer or otherwise it can separate the two causing the wobble. Check that out first.

The rubber ring is how the stock damper fails. As it is bolted to the hub, check that it is bolted up tight and flush with the hub. If it is bolted on correctly and it still wobbles, replace it. A stock replacement will work fine....

Thanks guys. Always appreciated. When I removed it to paint it I was kinda harsh with it and scrubbed it with a wire brush like a newb. That probably sealed her fate.
