Do i need chromoly pushrods
Do i need chromoly pushrods
Im going with EX612 springs, comp-r lifters, 1.6 comp pro mags, and LE2 heads.
I plan on spinning to ~6750 and currently have comp hardened pushrods. Do you think i need to step up to chromoly prods? I was thinking about the trickflow ones. Are the Comp chromoly ones any better than the trick flow ones?
THX,
Stu

by hardened you mean the 28$ set, the anwer is yes.. I have seen three sets of those bent or broken over the past year in cars that had more than stock spring pressure and were spinning high revs..
for my head and cam install I went with the thunderracing pushrods, slightly cheaper than the CC ones but for some reason looked identical.. once you get into the 100$ per set range I feel there is not enough of a difference to worry about unless you want to buy different sets and compare weight..
