Yea, many will say the 94+ TB already has the provision for the detent (TV) cable, but I found that to be untrue.
I swapped in a 94 former A4 engine in a 93 A4 (Th700r4) and the stock 94 TB did not work. (didn't have the provision) So I just used the original 93 TB.
You will need to swap the bottom plate from your 94 TB to the 93 because the idle air control valve is different, but fortunately, it swaps right on. You will also need the 93 A4 cable bracket. Other than that, it should be pretty straightforward. Are you going to control the torque converter manually?

Yes you can use your 94 throttlebody. You just need to get a 93 detent bracket. It will bolt right on to your 94 TB

OK... I'll take some pictures later today and I'd like you to show me where you would hook it up. There's only 2 provisions on mine. One for the CC and the other for throttle... It's the original throttle body too...

You have to buy the bracket with the detent cable in it.

Do you have a lock up converter?
If answer is yes, you can put a manual switch to lock up the convertrer when ever you want to in 3rd gear.. Sometimes car will go in and out of lockup at low driving speeds in 3rd gear. Switch will keep it locked up.
Go to your Chevy dealer and order a 93 detent bracket. This is all you need. It has an extra slot for your tv cable or kickdown. Speedo works the same.

I think what Madwolf is saying is that there is not a provision on the throttle arm on the TB to hook the cable to. Nothing to do with the bracket that holds the cable.

JEGS PART # 890-376600 About $70.00

Shoebox you are right. I have an aftermarket throttle body. Thats why the detent bracket bolted right up. We installed a 700r4 into a car with stock TB and had to weld a tab on for detent cable. Sorry for the confussion
