Do the Granatelli mafs say Ac on them?

Do the aftermarket Ganatelli MAFS say AC on the plug in? I just bought one and wanted to be sure I didn't get a factory one with aftermarket ends.
Thanks

Shawn

Re: Do the Granatelli mafs say Ac on them?

I would rather have a stocker than a Granattelli, do some reading, the knowledgable guys pretty much agree that is a bad mod. Most of the guys who defend it are the ones who think Summit is the be all end all in automotive performance. Just because someone sells something or a magazine claims it is worthwhile does not make it worthwhile or true. If it turns out to be a stocker I am in the market for a stock f-body MAF and am in Wisconsin too maybe we could work something out.

I already have it and was wondering if its a modified factory one or in deed a aftermarket one. I agree and will probably sell it and I do have one that is descreened and cleaned up on there now. Where in cheese land are you at?

I thought descreening was cool too but start programming/upgrading and you will find out as I did that just leaving the GM design alone is the best policy!!! The Stock setup is the most consistant. After upgrading my engine and doing PCM tuning, I had trouble getting my Air/Fuel right and I took my wondefully ported, descreened and polished MAF and replaced it with one I got out of a junkyard!!! and Boom consistancy!!!

I live in New London, maybe an hour north of you at most it is a little NW of Appleton. What I want is a completely stock MAF even screened due to reasons Joe posted.
I tried the ZO6 sensor and even with tables coppied right out of a LS1 Edit ZO6 file my fuel trims and PE are rich, I have had proffessional help and a guy here successfully using one sent me some tables as well, I just can't get it to run quite right.
PM me if you want.

The one I have doesnt say AC on it. It says "this side towards AR" and if you install it correctly, that that side faces the driver side, the top of the body itself has an arrow pointed to the passenger side (i.e. air flow), and the other side of the plug has nothing written on it (mine has vette written in some sort of pen by the marketer).

I got mine 2yrs ago

it says "this side towards air meter", but there is no box in the middle and no AC.

Dude, you're scarin me.....I just went to the dyno yesterday, wasn't pleased. I put my stock MAF back on, car is running better. Took apart my "granatelli MAF" and noticed some #'s on it that looked identical to my stocker. WTF. I think I got hosed and was going to post as well. Low & behold I find you posting the same ****. I can't find any links on how to discover a fake. Any advice out there other than buying direct from manufacturer?

BINGO, mine was a fake and if you looked close enough you could see the cross bar on the factory one was cut off. they do not say AC on them and I believe the guy who sold it to me who refunded my money instantly I think he got ripped and he bought it from a distributor.
