I heard that flowmaster systems are somewhat restrictive...

and.. on the cutout issue... **** it! I'm in California... the ****-Germany of emissions laws and I'm going to flaunt my cutout like I stole it.

I mean... if you get pulled ova for it, just hit a switch and you're legal again.

PS... Go to www.obsessivemotorsport.com !! Cool people... australians, not all are ricers... heh.

I have a Flowmaster muffler, I can't wait to replace it. I've also heard that they are restrictive, hence wanting something else. Don't think I've seen anything technical to back that up though, who knows.

Sounds pretty good though, if you already ordered it then go with it. Then when you get bored in a few years you can redo the exahust, try something else.

It won't make your car worse...it might not be the best flowing muffler, but it is one of the best sounding mufflers out there.

I had one and got rid of it for borla. I was happy about it when I got it except it was UGLY and sounded like a truck. The performance seemed to increase (nothing to back that up though)-just sotp test. I like borla better except it fits like a pos. I think ppl just rip flowmaster b/c the dont sell it.

I have one. It may not be the best flowing but I find it hard to believe that it coudl flow any worse than stock. In my opinion it sounds pretty good, so if you like the sound, go ahead and throw it on.

I would do what Stevil recommened. Just throw it on and if you ever get into making big hp numbers in the future, replace it with a new catback.

I liked my flowmaster....but if you want something that sounds good and flows well, you need to get a single in/out muffler. All crossflow style mufflers suck.

I had the single out flowmaster system, not the dual out.

I like flowmasters sound, however it does sound kinda like a truck. I went with magnaflow because it sounds better in my opinion, but it also flows better...however, I don't think it is going to be more restrictive then stock...you may see a minimal gain...probably wont be able to feel it though.

I love my American Thunder that I bought new in '96. Car picked up .4 seconds in the 1/8 th mile (after I was able to hook up!) and sounds awesome doing it. Germans love hearing it. I swear by Flowmaster. My Dakota and my '57 Chevy P/U has them installed as well. No problems here.
