Do AIR tubes get too hot for....

I still have my AIR system and I was wondering if itd be wise to twistie my spark plug wires to the metal piece coming out to the exhaust manifold. I have 3 wires going through this spot and they are all loose. They used to all be angled to a certain tightness so they stayed in the middle but now, they are hanging on the air pipe. I know they shouldnt touch the manifold but is it ok for them to touch the air pipe? I dont want any of them to burn. This is on the passenger side, what should i attach them to i nthat spot so that they dont get burnt?
