distributor torque bolts

Does anybody know a way to get the torque screws off distributor. Its the screws that hold the cap and rotor accembly together. I just dont have that special tool to do the job right. would a dremel tool with a thin cut off disk cut the screws in half between the rotor and distubutor hurt anything. I could then apply rtv gasket sealer around the cut area and buy normal screws with the same treads to put back in. anyone thinks this would mess anything up and Im open for any other ideas....

You should be able to go to autozone or something and borrow or rent the tool I would think.

Take a throttle body top plate cover screw out and use vice grips [or double nut it, and use a socket/nut driver] That fits it..

If you know where a store is that sells tools it is an E4 socket. A small set of these sockets are not expensive at all.

The bolts from the MAF work as well...

I took them out and used normal bolts the last time I did mine- saves trying to rig something to work or try and find that one stupid little socket that works..

Both brands of E4 sockets I have are not long enough to reach in without a little bit of modification. Too fat at the base to reach all the way in to the opti. Turned down the OD a little with the grinder. Keep that in mind if you go buy the tools instead of using a screw.
