Direct water into Ram Air hood

Hey fellas. I picked up a WS6 recently and have a quick question. The previous owner seemed to use the spray wax a lot, and it's in a few of the black areas on the car. It wipes off with no problem, but there's one big splotch that is right inside one of the vents on the ram air hood. Would it be alright to shoot some water in there to get that crap out? I know that the baffles will prevent rain water etc from getting into the engine, but just not too sure about a direct spray from a hose. Thanks guys!

Open the hood first. Cover the airbox fully with a sheet of plastic, make sure the Opti is covered.... then close the hood and spray it.

Have you considered using a solvent on a long Q-tip to remove wax buildup, rather than water?
