Differential question
I did a search and didn't find anything...
My dad asked me to ask you all how to remove the c-clips and springs out of the differential on a 94 Z. He needs to change the axle bearings and seals.
Thanks in advance.

Pull differential cover.
There's a 'pinion shaft' [not the PINION GEAR as in ring and pinion] that is held in place by a 'pinion shaft lock screw'
Take the lock screw out then the shaft slides out.. then [after taking the calipers and rear rotors off] you push the axle IN and then the C clips either fall off, or you take them off the inner axle ends..
Then pull axle out, and proceed with axle seal and bearing in the usual manner..
Not sure what springs you mean?

Ask the guys on z-28.com if they know how to get the springs and c-clips out of the differential.

Could be talking about the springs in the carrier. But they definitely dont need to come out to do what your doing.
