Question Different size tires

I have a 94 T/A and I recently changed the tires. My friend said to put 245/50/R16 all around. So they put it on the rear...and then they went to put it on the front and they said the 245/50R16 were rubbing...so they put 225/50/R16's in the front and they said they were the biggest I can go. Did anyone else have this problem...thanx for u r help guys...

doesnt sound right since some if not all Lt1's came from the factory with the wider 245's (i know mine did) but theres no reason they shouldnt fit and i ve heard of even wider than that fiting so ids say they crazy but thats JMO

Re: Different size tires

I have 275/40/17s all around and nothing comes even close to rubbing. Even if your car was lowered or your shocks were shot it still shouldn't rub. I would take a look at it myself if I were you. Sounds like those people don't have any idea of what they're doing or they're just trying to sell you something they don't need.

Re: Different size tires

Unless there is suspension or body damage, they should fit all the way around...

Muuaahahaha, I call bs on that one. I work at a tire shop and own the car listed in my sig. I run 245's with no problem. They might have been out of the other 2 thus far yankin your chain so they can still make money. If your lookin for the best performance/cost effectiveness stick with 245's. take it easy.
