Different Alternator

Is there a different that I can but that puts out some more amps? Just a direct swap? I have a 94Z H/C ported stuff with 399 rwhp. Yes I need one more.

Problem is I have my fans come on, car stays at 180 degrees driving, idling, racing etc. With the A/C on and sitting in traffic, this sucker gets hot. 240 degrees hot. Turn the A/C off, the car slowly cools down. The only thing I can guess is that when the A/C is on full blast with the fans, it draws so much power that the fans cannot keep their proper speed, therefore not cooling down as they should. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Different Alternator

When your AC is on it is actually pumping heat into the ac condensor, which sits right in front of your radiator. It has nothign to do with your alternator if it did your engine would probably stall before your fans cut out.

Then what else could it be? I just put a motor in a few months ago, cleaned the radiator, lines, new water pump, etc.

More than likely the massive heatsource right in front of the radiator, but is your air dam intact? and are you sure nothings in front of the condensor or between the condensor and the radiator blocking airflow?
