differences between years

Hi i am jons roommate and i am looking to buy a 94-97 z28. i want black red or silver but thats beyond the point. what im asking is i know there were changes over those years like the mirrors color and things like that..im more worried about the exterrior changes cuz my roommate knows all about the other changes.

No changes in the exterior besides in 97 they had the 5 spoke rims instead of the "salad shooters" and the 97 also had the Tri-color tail lights. The mirror and top color didnt have anything to do with the year. Just some came with them and some didnt. To the best of my knowledge.

After 93 there was the Monochromatic (or a spelling close to that) option. If you chose it your car would have body color roof and mirrors. I don't think it was an option on T-top cars though..they had to have the black.

the reason i ask is cuz i am interested in finding a red Z and there was one in my lot with the mirrors that were red , which i want, and the collum or whatever behind the door was black and it had t tops. but i hav[e seen pics of 94s i think with the black mirrors, and i dont want that... ??
