Difference between waterpumps?

I do believe there is a difference between water pumps on an f-body, corvette and caprice/impala. Is it where the hose attaches?
I am looking to switch over to an electric pump. I have a new GM pump with 1500 miles and would rather use an old pump rather than wreck a perfectly GOOD GM pump ( read NOT Autozone).

I got a Meziere pump on mine and it runs great although its a good habit to watch the temp gauge just in case. Im pretty sure that the CSR units require some grinding to the water pump housing but the Meziere you can just slap on. Make sure you get an electric waterpump relay kit to make the wiring easier. I got one from painless and it works good.

In all my searching for the relay part #, I overlooked the simple fact that you had the difference between waterpumps on your site. I have used the site several times . Thanks for the time to put all that together.

If you feel like getting creative I think I have a spare housing or two, but they are b-body. I am not far away though so you could take a look.

It couldn't hurt to at least look. I am in Canada right now, but should be home soon. If you want, PM me and we could see what we can arrange. If I can sort my car out right, maybe we can run them at the RSD at WIR. Broken comp r(s). I could only find the reatiner to the lifter and it was only one, but no noise. I haven't driven it since May. I never got to fixing it cause lately it seems I have traveled the world (US, Norway, Canada and Germany)for work, built a 2 1/2 car garage, my daughter was born and work a ton of hours for work. I will be starting on the car soon...... at least I tell myself that

Post up in the Parts wanted section or local board. Water pump housings aren't exactly a rarity so you should be able to get one to install your EWP on.
