difference between a I-H beam rod

difference between a I-H beam rod

How can you tell the difference between I-H beam rods?

I beam and H beam, look at the letters, I beam is wide at the top and bottom, h beam is wide on the sides

Wouldn't that actually be the front and back since they face the front and back of the engine?

On this page are some good photos showing I beams and H-beams. And also lower down on that page it shows which ones have block and cam clearance "built" in, (compares big end shapes).

As far as functional differences go, either cross section works fine if it's a good rod appropriately selected. The "S" shape rod or the "two piece" rod is to be avoided at all costs though!!

I can tell what everything is here, but WTH is that blue bottle thingy? Vacuum canister? Do you always buy a bunch of new expensive parts that need to stay clean and then set them on the concrete outside?
