I dont know too much about fourth gens and was wondering what all is there thats different? so far ive got...umm the hood lol
and they only made the SS '96 and '97 right?

 

only in 96-97 and besides what you can see(hood, spoiler, rims)... the SS has functional ram air, upgrade bilstein suspension shocks and i think springs, SLP shifter if for a 6spd and performance catback exhaust. i think there were around 2500 made each year too so they each get a build number.

 

They made SS camaros in other years beyond 96 and 97...But yes the SS stands for Super Sport and is basically a perfomance package on the Z28, i love them and wish i was lucky enough to have one...

funny how in 02 they made more SS's then Z28's, so z28s are more rare in that year

 

I never knew that. I know SS production went well over 10k in '01. I guess SLP bringing back the SS was a good thing.
