Did some more mods and SLOWER by a tenth?
Did some more mods and SLOWER by a tenth?
A little frustrating...
I pulled another 50lbs of weight out of the car, reduced rotating mass by 42lbs with the new tires and wheels (Pro stars...skinnies up front), added traction (ET streets out back), and tossed in a set of 1.6 rollers...
And I run a tenth slower....
what the hell?
60' was about the same (see sig) but best I pulled off was a 13.32 et

Idealy you want to spin a little comming out of the hole for best ET and best trap. Maybe on your old run you had the best possible launch with those tires, spinning just the right amount. Now with the ETs, you arent spinning at all, hurting trap? You gotta pull a better 60 than that with ETs

could your bigger tires have had a little too much traction for their own good? lots of traction=lots of friction=slowing down.

still seems like the rockers should have netted me a few hp, and the weight loss a bit of speed...
The ET Streets will add rolling resistance to the car over your street tires. That is usually more than compensated for by the reduction in 60' times. Since your 60' time did not drop I am not surprised by a reduction in ET. I am also going to assume you lost at least 1 MPH.
The only thing I can think of for the 1.6 RR's is weather changes. Even though the temp was close changes in humidity and barometric pressure will play a huge part in MPH. What you really need to look at is corrected altitude.
