did my first n20 runs lastnight.....
car is in sig. i Have a full bolt on car with a small 2400 convertor. unfortunetly i lost most of my bottle due to relay problems so i didnt get a full pass on the 100 shot. here we go:
50 shot
60ft:1.95
et:12.98
mph:107.56
100shot fuel jet 2 steps rich, ran out of nitrous between 1/8-1000ft mark
60ft:2.08
et:12.74
mph110.01
im thinking it would have been a 12.3-4 pass if i didnt run out of n20
with that mph
Whatta guys think?

not to shabby. If you have the NX kit, i have a scanmaster in my car and stock jettings are a little on the rich side, you could get more power out of it with tuning. Were you using slicks??? and are you using the stock rear?? I broke 2 stock rears already and the stock clutch, right now I have the strange 12 bolt and street twin clutch and so far so good, never ran the car yet though with traction but I did hit a 115mph trap with the 100 shot the last time I was at the track. Your trap speed looks good, you seem right on target just get some slicks on there and a stronger rear if you don't have one you should be running low low 12's.
Ian told me you guys were going to the track, I was going to go but my car is running like crap I think there is a burnt plug wire so I'm changing all the wires, sucks...............

yeah, I was using the stock 10 bolt. it does have a T/A girdle on it but it'll last a little while being i have an auto and wont be shocking it with a 5-6,000 rpm clutch drop. those times are on 17" nitto's ill be mounting my et streets once i get my wheels back from Ian. i know what you mean about the running bad problem. I was chasing down a misfire problem for like a year. i also have a scanner and my car was running on the lean side with 5 counts of knock retard. i went out lastnight with a friend to do some tuning and it def feels better. so ill have to get my tire on,hope my transmission will make it long enough for a few more track passes and see what she does......

what n2o kit do you have anyways?
as for the rear end girdle, last i checked it was simply a cover that replaced your stock, rusty rear end cover and had an optional stud kit. when a rear end goes the gear teeth break. how does the girdle strengthen that?

. Yes the teeth do break depending on wether or not your using gm gears or aftermarket gears like richmond. but alot of guys i know have had thier main bearing caps break. the cover adds overall strength to the diff housing being its about 1/2" thick compared to the flimsy steel cover and also like i said the cover has preload bolts that make contact with the main bearing cap surface to help keep the caps from breaking from having higher torque. im not saying its going to last forever, especially once the car starts seeing deep 11s and on....but it will help prolong its life to some degree. oh and i have the nx kit.......
Re: did my first n20 runs lastnight.....
yeah i actually have the T/A rear end girdle with the stud kit and 3.73's, but after researching breaks in the rear end, the majority of them happen when teeth chip off from hard launches. a girdle won't stop this from happening. it will, however, keep your gears cooler.
eh either way, it has some benefits and thats all thats important. which NX kit do you have?
