Did Comp R' lifter look different before?

As most of you know Comp R' lifters at one time were totally gone as in baught out & the company that made the lifters went belly up. Well the new company that Comp has make the lifters now, are the lifters acctually different?

Reason I'm asking is I just had one of mine fail & its the new style, but I have these 2 lifters at home I can't tell if they are Comp R', they look different as in where the roller is the body tapers up on both sides of the roller, I guess to prevent hitting the cam, but the Comp R' the failed is just straight on the bottom.

I can't get just 1 lifter anywhere around here so I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if maybe these other 2 I have laying around are Comp R'.

Basicly, the top of the 2 spare lifters I have, both have the same retention clip design as the comp R's in my car, as in its not a circlip but like a piece of metal, yet the bottom of the lifters are different.

So if anyone knows maybe these 2 I have are the old style, let me know, that would be awesome cuz I'll just put one in.

Matt.
