1. For a long time, my car does this odd thing: When idling at a stop light and the fans are running, it will idle surge to 2500-3000 and back down to 650. It fights the breaks BAD so I usually have to pop it into neutral.

2. During a nice little race one night, I noticed my car had some missfire at WOT..uh oh. Then it gets worse.

3. I notice my car about 3 days ago it starts almost wanting to die at idle. It kinda lets up at the 650 idle and goes down to 450-500...I notice my volt guage is kinda weaving more than it should from the middle notch to the 3/4 notch.

4. Just recently, it misfires and bucks from SOME stops and most accerates where it wants to drop a gear.

Havn't really had the time or a place to do any indepth checks over the car. Just wondering if any of you guys have had similiar problems.

 

Yeah, unplug one of the O2s and see if it runs better.

My 94Z had idle surge similar to yours occasionally.. was not often but it would worry me when it happened.
Hasn't happened at all since I've changed the opti about a year and a half ago.

 

Changing the opti, cap&rotor, and coil next week. Hoping and praying that it will fix these issues as I am pulling it out of my student loan.
