Trani Prices HELP!

i took my car to the shop to have them check out the trani. I mean i know the damm thing is bad. but the guy there siad its binding up in evey gear the trani starts off in the worng gear reverise binds. it doesnt come outta gear when u put it in nurtal. and that fuild is commin out of eveywhere possible. he said 1800-2000$ plus a converter. Is that good or bad? This is the first time i ever took it to a shop used to do all the work my self
o yea he said 1500$ to bring it back to stock the other prices where for a highpro rebuild

Don,t know where you are located but I had mine performance built for 750 carryout. I pulled the tranny and supplied my own converter.
Trying to work out my pinion angle right now, If I can get that done I can go play with my new tranny.
Might be better for you if you can pull the tranny yourself and take it to a shop with a good reputation.
