What possible damage can occur from an LT1 overheating? well besides warped heads and blown head gaskets?

they usually do pretty good(mine anyway).

i have had my temp gauge pegged at 300 or whatever the peg would be at 10-15 times over the past 4 years. now it has 235,000 on it and there is still nothing wrong with it
