Cyl. Head Temp.Sensor Question?

Cyl. Head Temp.Sensor Question?

Could someone tell me what temperature the sensor in the head sensor goes up to?

Is it 200 degs 225, or 250 I know there is a max. temp for it but I forget??

It goes as least as far as the gauge on the dash. The gauge goes to 260°. Weird question.

I guess you are right there in a way... But who knows how good the stock gauge is.. HAve heard many times its not even close to being correct...!

Anyways wd. ya know where one could get a gauge to put in the head that goes up to 225 or so?

Summit, Jegs and a lot of folks in the list of supporting vendors for this site sell gauges. Most go way past 225 and you'll need it.

Sorry about that, I am not looking for a GAuge, but the A TEmp. Senser that goes to 225 or 220 something like that to run a switch for the Electric water pump... To make a Warning system...!Thanks

I guess it always helps to give all the info in the beginning...


Don't see why you could not use an adjustable fan temp switch and relay for that.

Most guages come with a sensor.
