I was wondering if i put a cutout on my car, would the cops bother me about it for driving with it open? Do they bother any of you guys? Or doesn't the car get loud enough to make it that bad?

 

i never capped mine when i had one, and cops never gave me a second look (except when i was on the wrong end of a radar gun). this was when i lived in south fl, and noisy cars are probably a little more commonplace there than in south dakota.

I had a State Trooper tell me my car sounded wicked the other day. But I do live in a redneck area .

I have never heard of anyone getting in trouble for noise around here. I live in South Carolina. All you see down here is loud pickups, Stangs, and Camaros.

Yeah, mine is really loud and I have never had a cop say anything to me. Just make sure that you don't stomp it right infront of a cop and you should be fine and dandy.

 

A cut-out on your stock-car isnt going to male it that terribly loud.

 

I got a ticket for accelerating too quickly, but I wouldn't have even been noticed had the cop not heard me 4 blocks away.

 

ekk around here i would never think about opening mine and get past the cops without them pulling me and giving me a ticket... ofcoruse when mine are open tis like open headers too...

kid around here has one in his I pipe and he get harrassed by them but he still rides around with it open

 

Last summer I got pulled over 4 times and ticketed once....this was with LT's and no cats. I dont think this is a reason for not getting it since everything seems to be illegal nowadays..

Loud pipes save lives.
