A friend of mine told me that cutouts dont help much an LT1 cuz we get our tq down low, which is true cuz its better to have more pres for low end power... but i forgot to ask him this... how much power will i gain on the high end???

i'm doign a cutout and not an exhaust (i want borla) because i cant afford it, but this stock exhaust is too quiet for me!

 

On a mostly stock car I'd expect about 10 rwhp or so.

 

Yeah, over stock exhaust you'll feel it. When you go to a higher flowing aftermarket exhaust, it will be less noticable. You'll lose some low end torque, but you'll pull hard up top.

Hey evil i'm thinking of getting an electric cutout. But i already have a hooker catback on my car. How much more of a gain would i see. Right now all i really got is a CAI as my other mods. But will soon have headers and 1.6rr's. Do you think its worth me getting?

WHATEVER get the cutout not only does it sound awesome,but i picked up over 5 rwhp with mine and at some rpm's 10rwhp BEST MOD you can do for 30 bucks.i have low end torque...i have mid range torque .....and torque up top. thank you
