Cutout settin off SES light?

I installed my out about 3 years ago. and 5 miles after install my SES light came on. My uncle who works for GM told me that the cutout was causing the SES to go off, and he would reset the codes and turn the light off everytime i got the car serviced which he has.

Which brings us to today. I am selling my car, so I capped the cutout. Uncle turns off SES light. 30 mies later, light comes on, take it back to uncle, and it is throwin out same codes as before.

What can i do, im selling the car in 2 days.
