Cutout Question

I have a 3inch Edelbrock Cat-back and the ASM headers are coming in soon. Instead of get a new cat-converter I was thinking about getting an e-cutout.

Now my question is what size should the cut-out be? 3 inch? Im not to sure what size the Y-Pipe is that comes with the headers?

Thanx in advance.

Re: Cutout Question

Are you thinking of putting 2 cutouts on the y-pipe? In that case you'll need 2.5". Most people fix a single 3" cutout on the I-pipe because it's simpler and cheaper.

Re: Cutout Question

I got a 3 inch for my car right under the back passenger seat. Its always better to get it a little bigger than the exact size or a little smaller, so they can slide it over the exhaust and weld it in.
