I just had my cut out installed today and it feels like i lost performance!! Is this normal??

 

cut out open = no back pressure

back pressure = lowend torque

cut out open = loss of some lowend torque

yea you probably gained around 1-2 mph on the top end of the quarter. My et's dropped and the mph went up when I did mine, so I know a cutout is a good thing.

 

yes cut out good .. but don't try to figure out your hp by adding what you think the cut out will give you and a cat back hehe...

 

when i had my old 94 t/a i went low 14's@97 with just the cai, then i installed the cutout and i went 13.8@99. could of been a 13.7 if i had a helmet and et streets. what MarkyMark posted is about what you should typically expect.
