custom exhaust question

I was thinking about having a custom exhaust made by a guy this summer. I was thinking of making one like the SLP but with a dynomax bullet muffler instead. But the guy tells me that my car will be quiet with the cat I have on. It is a big octagonal cat. Would it be quiet with this setup. Or now I have been thining of just not putting a muffler in the system at all. I was just wondering how this would sound. I want it somewhat loud, but i want a good quality sound, not a crap loud sound. So how would this sound do you think?

I had a Ravin muffler with a high flow cat and it was three times as loud as the guys running around with a flowmasters. I say it would be loud enough you would be heard. But not to loud.

But as far as how good it sounds your on your own.

not always true unless you find a cheap muffler shop to do the job for you, if you can go that route, but the slp's Lm are going for 329, if not cheaper

yes the loudmouths are $329, but there is an additional $60 for the install kit for my car since it's a 93. I found an exhaust shop that said he would do my car with a bullet muffler for 240 installed. The only thing is the pipe isn't mandrel bent, it's just the crush bending. But i don't know if that will matter with my car being stock.

is 240 a good price if it's not mandrel bent? Will that even matter for flow restriction?

for that kind of price and yr looking to go cheaper, so why not, ive herd those custom jobs sound pretty close to that of the Lm, bends dont really matter, and yr car is stock, maybe if you had a stronger setup in yr motor it might be an issue, but dude dont worry about it

Just finished my exhaust, check out
http://home.koping.net/u3243a/avgassystem.htm
Its 3.5 inch back to the rear axel and after that 3inch. The sound is great at idle and not to loud at speeds up to 75mph.
