as for oil change, what do you stroker guys usually use?besides it being synthetic, as far as weight? would you still do the 25-50?

 

if you don't mind, i'll piggy back onto your question because i've been trying to decide what oil would be best to use. i'm getting ready to get my 385 LE2 heads/cam setup going in the next week or so. i'm wondering if synthetic is definitely the best bet for me? seems like somebody told me something about the full synthetic being almost TOO slick for the hydraulic roller stuff, but i'm no mechanic so don't know if that's true or not. i'd just like to know the best oil for me to run during breakin...and then afterwards.

 

I used Valvoline 10w40 to break my new engine in, the switched to Amsoil 0w30. I believe Amsoil is the best oil out there and if I didn't I wouldn't use it.
