csi wiring que
csi wiring que
im new to the board i want to say i have been reading post for a few weeks i must say you guys are a alot of help my props to you im starting a 383 project in a 95 camaro i want to know if you can rig up a csi to turn the motor off when the eletric motor wears out has anyone done this i dont want to over heat my new engine. i heard there was a way to rig a light to see when the pump was not pumping my second que is would a stock wp be enough for a 383
I guess a "que" is a question, and he is asking if you can wire the car's engine to shut down in the event the "csi" (I guess its a CSI water pump) pump shuts down. Seems easy enough.
Yes, a stock water pump will handle an 800HP nitrous 381 or a 1,125HP blown 383, at least with a bigger radiator.
In any case, LT1 questions belong on LT1 Tech.... moving it there.

If you have seen the circuit diagrams for wiring up the tell-tale lamps for pump failure, then you could modify it to operate a relay to kill the injectors or ignition or combination. You will have to decide whether you really might want the engine to die without warning. Maybe a time delay or something would be good.
