CSI Reliability

I have a CSI water pump in right now and it's been working great for a month.
I will be making a 1300 mile round trip next week and I was just wanting your guy's opinions if I should order another for a spare just incase. Or should I rely on the one I have. Anyone ever had one die a couple hundred miles away?

Re: CSI Reliability

Had one die last year after like 25k miles. I went to Atlanta over Memorial Day weekend and had no problems with mine. 700 mile round trip.

Re: CSI Reliability

I've had mine for about 4 years now, with 30k+ miles with no problems, still works just as good as the day I put it in.

I have driven from Seattle to South Dakota with mine (1600-1700 miles). Still works.

Re: CSI Reliability

I had a CSI for 2 years without problem until just last fall I noticed it was getting really loud. Never blew the 15 amp fuse and I risked running it with a noisy pump for 3-4 months until I finally just went ahead and purchased the new CSR(looks to be the same pump as the CSI).
