Crispy Connectors

So I am in the process of removing all the wiring off the engine for its upcoming rebuild. On the intake where the throttle body is there is a sensor that I believe is the MAP sensor. It's flat rectangular with a little orange boot seal that pushes into the intake.

There is a green clip that pretty much broke as soon as I touched it. On top of that I have discovered the wires are crispy and bare wire is exposed. Does anyone make a replacement plug assembly that can be spliced back into the harness or am I stuck going to a junkyard or worse buying probably the whole harness from the dealer?

You can get just about any pigtail from EFI Connection, LLC - Welcome to www.eficonnection.com

Good luck.

Re: Crispy Connectors

Napa also sells shells and the metal pins for the weather pack connectors though you will need a crimping tool which they don't sell. Amazon has them for ~$30 with the pin removal tool as well. Works much better than trying to splice in new connectors.

Re: Crispy Connectors

I'll definitely look into that for the other connectors I will probably end up breaking. I have to splice this one since the wires are bare four to fives inches back.

But thanks!! If you got a link to that tool that would be cool.
