Re: crazy long tube prices!!!!!!

I agree. Those prices are far from rediculous!! the pipe to make those is probably $50 worth of material including the flange and collector. The flange I could cut out on a CNC machine in 5 minutes, with a few bends, some welds and ceramic coating!! I know there is a little more that goes into making them, but COME ON!! Its more than likely all machine done. hardly any man hours in them, so explain the cost.

Re: crazy long tube prices!!!!!!

I have come to learn that anything automotive is EXPENSIVE, from performance parts, repair parts, insurance, car payments, gas, etc. The only thing cheap is maintainance if you do it yourself.

They seem a bit high but as long as there is a good demand for them at that price, they will stay there.

I can't find my old issue of GMHTP, but I remember seeing those. 700.00 isn't too bad, but if they aren't better quality then the Pacesetter or Hookers, they are going to have a hard time selling those.

I actually really like Dynomax products, some alot more than the comparable Hooker products. i have used many dynomax products in the past and they have all been very high quality. They also offer some nice large tube race headers as well. As for the part number you gave, what size primarys and collectors do they have?

Ive always had great luck with hooker parts. ALthough ive never owned dynomax ive always looked at them as an "economical" brand, aka cheap.
