Arrow Crazy *** SES light, plus a few codes

I've had an SES light on and off for the past month. I went to Auto Stoned and had Skull-1 scanned, and there was a 300 code, multiple missfire, and a 753 code that was a shift soleniod electrical malfunction.

When I first start driving around, the SES light stays on for a good 30 minutes, then dissapears till the next day. I did the opticrap cap & rotor replacement last summer. A few months back, there was a big rainstorm and I think somehow something electrical got wet, and I had to "limp home" to Applebees. Plus my gas milage has been REAL, REAL shiddy lately. Plugs and wires are only a year old, are the plugs bad already?!?!? Is the shift solenoid easy to fix myself? Cuz, those "jerks" I took my tranny to last year don't know "much at all". Any help would be great.

From Moderator: I edited some of your phrases. While the words you used aren't blocked from being used, the context you used them in was a bit "strong". Thanks

I'm not sure about the shift solenoid problem. I did have a similar problem with my car misfiring. It turned out that my water pump was leaking onto some of my electrical stuff and it was causing a random misfire. The tubes going into the pump are pressed and the seals are pretty easy to bust if you red line the car. I lucked out and changed my pump before it could cause any perminant damage. My car also did the same thing with the SES light coming on when I first started the car and ran it for about half an hour and then it would go off for a little while.

I don't know if your problem is the same, but I hope this helps.

Hmm, I haven't noticed any leaking hoses but it's possible. I'll check that today. Any other ideas?
