CRAP! My AC stopped working..plz help
Its florida..its summer..ITS HOT. Well tonight I turned on my car, turned on the AC and moved the car down the street. I parked it, turned off the AC and turned off the car..well when I got out I heard a noise, like the fan, I have never heard the car quite that loud...like I said, sounded like the fan turning off or something, just louder.
Well I got back in tonight, turned on AC and no cold air...I can tell it doesnt click like it usually does to turn on the ac compressor. Well I ran it before I got home(just blowing hot air temp air) and the compressor is warm to the touch(when it should be cold right).
So Im guessing that means my compressor is either broken or something telling it to turn on messed up. This sound right? I guess ill have to take it in on my next day off and spend some more money on this car

Tell me about the A/C pressure lines running out of the compressor. One should be ice cold, the other should burn the **** out of you. You'll be able to find them both on the pass side of the engine bay, one will be a rubber line that joins a hard line near the alternator, the other will be a hard line leading from the condenser (by the radiator) into the reciever dryer. Run the AC, see if one is hot and one is cold.
Quick question..would having low coolant in the radiator cause it to stop working(like its not high enough where it sucks in coolant, so its runing dry?) I just checked, and my coolant is really low( i have a hose leak that Im trying to get a new hose for(bypass hose if anyone has one))
Im going to fill it up now..and when I just had the ac on, no lines were cold..everything was warm..but I only had it on for like 40 seconds before I check the coolant.
