Had no idea the sealed power secondary rings are tapered. How do I know which is top and which is bottom?

 

I really need some help on this one folks....=/

I just noticed today that the rings have two colors on each end of the gaps, red and green. How can I tell if a ring is upside down? Im just happy I caught this because I still don't have anything on the block except the rotating assembly. Better to fix it now than after its in the car. Help please, thanks.

 

one side will be a 90 degree edge and one edge will be cut.

i think this is what your talking about, could be wrong though.

Call the ring manufacturer?

 

on the inside of the ring one edge will be square, and the other edge will be back-cut(slanted). on the top ring, the back cut goes down. on the 2nd ring, the back cut side of the ring goes up
