Crankcase filling with gasoline
My car is filling the crankcase with gasoline very quickly. Where is the best place to start trying to diagnose this problem? THANKS

Re: Crankcase filling with gasoline
Check the vacuum compensation line from the fuel pressure regulator for wet fuel. Should not be wet.
Does the exhaust smell extremely rich? The injectors could be flooding the cylinders, with the excess fuel bypassing the rings, into the crankcase. |
Re: Crankcase filling with gasoline
Either your injectors are spraying waaaaaay too much fuel, or you have cylinders that are not firing.
Check spark plugs for signs of excessive wear/breakage and for fouling. Also.....scan it while running to determine if all cylinders are firing and check fuel pressure. KW |

ts obdI so i don't have a compatable scan tool. I pulled the rails and injectors out and turned the key on and found no leakers. I have not tried to pop them off and watch them yet.

I already pulled vacuum on the regulator and it held.

Re: Crankcase filling with gasoline
Check the vacuum line from the EVAP purge solenoid for wet fuel.

If you are getting as much gas in the crankcase as what you are saying, it almost has to be injector or f/p regulator related. |

You need to use the fuel pump prime connector and keep the pump on when you check. When you hit the key and don't start it, the pump only stays on for a couple of seconds. Other factors may be relieving pressure.

i pulled the rail and wrapped baggies around each injector. One would work fine for about 6 pulses then it began to spray wildly.
