The only secret I know of is not to bend it when installing it. OTOH, if your hub has a bad groove in it where it meets the seal, it's gonna leak. I believe you can get a repair sleeve to cover a worn hub surface.

Are you positive that it's your crank seal? On my friend's TA it turned out to be the timing chain cover gasket. The water pump seal is also famous for leaking. I suggest you add dye to your oil and verify your leak source with a black light.

It probably takes about 15 min to change the seal hehehe
