crank pulley can i blast and paint?
Re: crank pulley can i blast and paint?
Stay away from the rubber insulator when you blast and don't paint where the belt rides. Don't overpaint the area on the back where it mounts to the hub.

You know you still haven't actually told us what you are driving, signatures help a LOT. There are a handful of Impala SS owners around here.
Really though blasting and painting the damper itself is a poor idea. Why don't you look up a new replacement from the parts store, no shipping fresh paint and it will be new not some half worn out stock piece.
Blasting the damper is such a bad idea that the first time I read it I actually assumed you meant the hub, not what you said atall but blasting the hub and paining it would have been reasonable so that is where my mind went. There were several length hubs depending on year and application.

Honestly im doing a motor on my car now and left the crank pulley alone. Your not going to see it when the motor is in the car atleast on f-bodies. but if you decide to shoebox hit it dead on.
I dont think it looks horrible with a little surface rust gives it class lol
