crank and pistons

so I bought an engine, and I tried to just freshen it up with new bearings and what not before I put it in. Well, the conn rods were out of round and needed to be reconditioned, so now I am thinking of just replacing them and the crank. I am getting the Eagle crank, but I am unsure if I should get H beam or I beam rods. I did a search, and there are a few threads on this, on which is better, but no real answer. The I-beams are lighter but are only rated for 500 hp, and I plan to run at least a 250 shot on the 355. I also currently have the GM847 cam, so my power band is a little higher than stock. It is a stick car, and will stay that way as long as I ever own it. Any opinions on this?

Re: crank and pistons

Lunati and Probe have 4340 "H" beams that are rated over 500HP.
