Which guideplates work best for the comp cam pro mag 1.6 roller rockers. I got a friend who has the comp cam guideplates but, I have heard that the GM guideplates may work better.



Also. I know I have to manipulate the valve covers a little bit to get them to clear. Somethin about cutting the braces inside the cover or something. I have seen a few pics about it before, but forget where they are. can someone explain/link me to the info on it. Thanks!

J/K, I have heard many times that the GM guides are better, and depending on the type of rocker you are useing you may or may not have to mod the VC, not sure about the pro mags though!

 

Yes you will need to modify the valve cover supports to clear Pro Mags. Do a search, someone recently posted a link to a photo that shows exactly what needs to be done.

 

Man I've done that deal with the valve covers.... It's worth it to pick up some billet ones on Ebay or wherever.

Either the GM Aluminum Bowtie guideplates or the Isky Adjustables, but you have to put the adjustables on the head correctly which can be a pain in the ***.
