Couple of quick Kooks/LT1 install questions. Kooks owners inside please....

Just got my Kooks in and decided to test fit them. There going on my 383 install. Anyway, passenger side fits fine, but drivers side is hitting the low oil level sensor in my pan for one. I can accept that cause I put a 6qt Canton on and it sticks out further at that point which is why it's probably hitting. I think it wouldn't hit there if I had a stock pan, but would like to hear from anybody running a 6qt canton and Kooks if possible. 2nd, theres no way to get ANY oil filter up there without the headers hitting the filter. My car has the oil cooler option which drops the filter down from the block about 4 inches or so. If I didn't have the cooler, it looks like the filter would fit fine, but I do and don't want to remove it. Anybody here have that problem, even with other long tubes? I'm thinking I could get away with an oil filter relo kit, but am curious as to what others here have run into and done. Any input would be appreciated. Other then those 2 things, these headers are sweet. I didnt' even have to jack the motor with a BMR K-member. They just wen't right up in there. Thanks.

I had to use a short filter which I believe has the AC delco filter
I didn't have the cooler and I still needed a short filter.

I also have a BMR K member adn I had to grind a lot off of my steering shaft to get it to not rub.

I have a Canton pan for my new engine. Is it just hitting the sensor?

Chunk the cooler, and run the older long filter but may have to run the short one. Chunk the level sender,if ya check your oil once a week ya won't need it.Canton makes a special plug for it.
Get a LS1 steering shaft and adjust the steering column to move it over to the LF tire more.
