My friend just bought a 95 Trans am 6 speed with 96k miles. it ran fine for the first 300 miles and then we were driving and it felt like it died or cut out then came back. then i drove it and it still did it. and to day it started fine and on his way to work it died and wouldnt start. and when it would die or cut out it would give a code then it would go away. could this be the opti?

 

Take it to Autozone and ask them to scan for codes and they will use a scan tool and tell you almost exactly whats wrong with it.

i have a scaner the ses light comes on then goes off and then there is no code i scand it and there was 4 codes but they were 70 69 42 and some other a/c one. i know that one is a maf sensor code could that make it do this?

scand the car only one code this time it was a maf code so we looked at it and the intake wasnt on it all the way so we put it on and now it works fine. i dont see what that had to do with it because it was still going threw the maf.
