The car is a 94 and sleeps about 6 to 8 months every year. This year (after 8 months) it fires right up as usual. It never takes more than a nano second to start, even sitting all those months. But this time after letting it warm up and taking it for a ride around the block it starts running like crapola. Give it a little gas and its fine, give it a little more and it spits and sputters.
I was thinking about having a new Opti, water pump, and O2's put on when the heads and cam are installed in a couple of weeks. Is this what you guys would do? The car only has 28k on it, but I think it might be good insurance.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My last 95 Z28 ran like that with 29K miles on it. Surprise it was the crappy opti. I would definitely change yours and have water pump checked at same time. Hate to change opti just to have water pump leak.
