Could my MAF have been damaged?

Hello,

After a day of free modding on my car, during which MAF porting and descreening were performed, i forgot to put the hose back on to the plastic part of my airbox (i think it's the air pump supply hose?) when we were reinstalling everything.

After all this, I drove around for about a half-hour. I would like to know if, since unfiltered air was getting to my throttle body through the opening in my airbox, it is possible that the sensor element of the MAF could have gotten damaged, or if anything else could have resulted from forgetting to replug the hose?

Thank you very much.

Not likely.
That hole is small and its not like you had it open for months or anything.
I run my TB open sometimes when I am working on the car so its not something I would worry about.

It's doubtful, but look inside and see if any of the heated elements are damaged. Wouldn't be too hard to find one.

Thanks guys!

It`s ok really, I`m buying a stock untouched MAF used anyways just in case I have problems, plus then I will just be able to interchange from stock to ported & descreened whenever I want...
