Well, I had never even looked at my MPH on my Datamaster runs. It appears that my PCM is getting a totally differnt reading then my speedo shows.

For example:

In first gear at 3600, my data log shows me at 75 mph while the gear ratio's show me at 28mph.

I am thinking that this is causing my fans to cut off (as I believe they are programmed to do at a certian speed) early and that is why the car is running pretty hot.

Oddly enough, the cars speedo seems dead accurate, and when stopped the data log shows me at 0mph. In third at 4200 I am at 128mph on the PCM.

Any input, anyone ever seen this? The car has a mail order tune from PCMforless.

Thanks!

I don't think speed has a factor in the fans coming on. Only by the coolent temp sensor and the AC. You may want to check out if your Vehicle speed sensor is bad.

Actually speed is a factor, it's set at 0 in lt1-edit with hysterises of 5. I think What that means is that the fans stop when the speed reaches 5 mph ona acceleration and and will start when a car comes to a full stop if temp condition is met. There is an oil temp condition and an rpm threshhold.

So if the MPH that turns it off is 5, then thats like 1 MPH for my car.
